Seychelles Nature Trail 2025 to Spotlight Sustainable and Adventure Tourism

The Seychelles Nature Trail returns on 23 August 2025, set to welcome around 210 participants across various skill levels to Mahé for one of the Indian Ocean’s most prominent endurance trail events. Organised by Tourism Seychelles, the 22km route winds through the ecologically rich Morne Seychellois National Park, traversing rugged forested terrain, granite slopes, and coastal vistas as part of a growing push to combine nature-based tourism with community engagement and environmental awareness.

This year, the event introduces sustainability-focused features such as eco-friendly hydration stations, waste separation zones, and educational messages along the route. Alongside the trail, a Creole cultural fair and local business participation highlight the event’s socioeconomic impact, reinforcing its role in Seychelles’ national tourism strategy. As interest in experiential and adventure tourism rises, the trail fosters new opportunities for small enterprises while promoting the islands as a year-round destination for eco-conscious travellers.
