Seychelles Focuses on Experiential Tourism, Nature and Nautical Excellence
Seychelles is enhancing its appeal as a nature- and adventure-driven destination through two flagship events: the Seychelles Nature Trail and the inaugural Seychelles Challenge. As part of Tourism Seychelles’ repositioning strategy, these initiatives are designed to attract experience-led travellers and diversify tourism offerings beyond traditional beach holidays. The Seychelles Nature Trail returns for its second edition on 23 August 2025, featuring a 22-kilometre course across Mahé Island, combining endurance sport with ecological highlights.
Meanwhile, the Seychelles Challenge will take place from 20–27 July 2025, inviting participants to sail from Mahé to La Digue, with stops at key islands and activities that blend sailing, community engagement, and marine conservation. Organised in partnership with local and regional stakeholders, including Tourism Seychelles and Hislop International, the event includes a Youth Regatta and links to coral regeneration and youth sailing initiatives. Both events support the nation’s tourism diversification agenda and align with growing global interest in sustainable, immersive travel experiences.
