Seychelles arrivals up 10.5% in week 08 – Europe leads, Asia gains
The Seychelles welcomed 9,974 visitors in week 08 of 2026 – a 10.5 percent rise year on year – taking year‑to‑date arrivals to 58,141, up 6.3 percent, according to the National Bureau of Statistics. Europe remained dominant with 7,892 arrivals (79.1 percent), up 12.5 percent, while Asia delivered 1,303 visitors (+5.2 percent). The Americas grew 27.1 percent to 394 and Oceania 23.7 percent to 47, offset by a decline from Africa (‑21 percent for the week; ‑4.3 percent year to date), signalling robust demand headed into March and continued reliance on European source markets.
Russia led weekly source markets with 1,467 arrivals (14.7 percent), followed by France (1,427) and Germany (1,195), with Italy (452) and Poland (418) also contributing. Leisure travel dominated at 93.6 percent, with honeymooners at 3.2 percent and business at 1.4 percent, and 96.7 percent of travellers arrived on scheduled flights.
