Seas4Life, renowned for its commitment to ocean conservation, inclusive adventure and unforgettable marine encounters, invites divers of all experience levels to join its signature safaris across three of the Indian Ocean’s and Red Sea’s most breathtaking underwater sites: Pemba Island, Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea, and Kenya’s South Coast.
Celebrating Women in Diving
PADI Women’s Dive Day is more than an annual event - it’s a global movement championing diversity, inclusivity and environmental stewardship. Seas4Life is dedicated to fostering a supportive diving culture where women can explore, learn and lead. Its curated itineraries offer the perfect opportunity for women to connect with the ocean and each other.
PEMBA ISLAND
Known to seasoned divers, Pemba is a hidden gem best explored using a private yacht and hand-selected properties which offer sun-drenched days and optimal conditions for diving, free diving and snorkelling. The on-board crew, captain, team and Seas4life hosts take divers to hidden locations with visibility soaring to 20 - 30 meters – a treat of crystal-clear views of Pemba’s lovely coral gardens, dramatic walls, and teeming marine life.
- Wonderful Reefs: Pemba’s underwater world, now protected through the local marine conservation group - PECCA - is home to a mosaic of corals, wonderful mangrove forests, schools of reef fish, awesome groupers, the occasional reef shark, and is known for its nudibranch diversity.
- Diverse Dive Sites: From gentle shallows perfect for beginners to exhilarating wall and drift dives, Pemba caters to all skill levels.
- Humpback Whale Encounters: July-September is the time for witnessing the awe-inspiring humpback whale migration as these gentle giants pass through Zanzibar’s waters.
- Conservation Focus: Seas4Life integrates ocean learning and conservation into every dive, empowering female divers to become ocean ambassadors.
SAUDI ARABIA’S UNDERWATER WONDERS: THE UNTOUCHED RED SEA
The Saudi Arabian Red Sea is largely unexplored by popular tourism yet dazzles as one of the world’s wonderful, dynamic and resilient marine ecosystems. The best way to explore these areas is through an exclusively curated Seas4life dive trip catering to a group’s needs, ensuring more time is spent diving and enjoying these diverse waters with a minimum of three dives a day, followed by some fabulous night dives.
- Women-Led Expeditions: Seas4Life’s female dive leaders create itineraries with the aim of empowering travellers and creating an adventurous dive environment in this lesser-known yet unique part of the world
- Spectacular Coral Reefs: Dive among a few untouched coral formations teeming with life, from vibrant anthias to elusive moray eels.
- Big Animal Encounters: Hammerhead, tiger and silky sharks, groupers, barracuda, manta rays and dolphins.
- Night Diving: These are some of the best experiences right off the back of the boat, where you watch moray eels hunting sometimes with the help of groupers, an array of sardines by torchlight, bioluminescence and Spanish dancers dancing.
- Ideal Conditions: Calm seas and excellent visibility make for relaxed, safe, and deeply immersive dives.
KENYA SOUTH COAST: SEA TURTLES AND MACRO DIVERSITY
Known more for its beaches, Kenya’s south coast underwater world is less explored, and diving here is possible throughout the year. Visibility varies from 7m - 25 m and there is always something interesting to see, be it one of the 1000+ identified Green or Hawksbill foraging sea turtles, crocodile snake eel, spiny seahorses or the occasional whale sharks or humpback whales on their northerly migration. Seas4Life curates dive trips along this beautiful coastline from Tiwi to Kisite & Mpunguti Marine Park and Reserve, bringing to life marine creatures of all sizes.
What Awaits?
- Sea Turtles: Thanks to the monitoring of sea turtles by the Kenya Olive Ridley project, divers can witness up to 25 sea turtle sightings on one morning’s double dive.
- Marine Diversity from Big to Small: From humpback whales, which can be heard and occasionally seen when diving; Indo-Pacific Bottlenose Dolphins either underwater or during surface intervals; two or three species of frog fish, and up to 70 species of nudibranchs can be found.
- Conservation in Action: Through partnerships with organisations such as Reefolution, Kenya Marine Mammal Research and Conservation, Olive Ridley Project Kenya, Diani Turtle Watch, Tiwi Turtle and others Seas4Life guests can participate in hands-on conservation, from photo id monitoring when diving, coral reef regeneration, marine mammal information sharing, sea turtle nest protection to supporting local education initiatives.
- Wreck Diving: One of Seas4life’s best dive spots is the MY Funguo, known for its wonderful marine life, which has made the 23-year-old wreck home. Species sighted include the oceanic black tip shark, barracudas, snappers, trevally, rays, frog fish, bat fish, angel fish, butterfly fish, garden eels and more. This wreck has given life to so much diversity; it is always a treat to visit.
- All Skill Levels Welcome: Whether you’re a first-time diver or a seasoned pro, Seas4life, together with the preferred local dive centres, offers expert training, guided dives, and a supportive atmosphere.
