SANParks tests new tech tools in Kruger National Park

Various technological tools are being rolled out in South African National Parks to enhance tourism and combat poaching. SANParks is testing these new tools in Kruger National Park before expanding them across the rest of South Africa’s national parks.
For an improved tourist experience, the organisation is moving to a cashless system, enhanced internet services, and a more streamlined online booking procedure.
SANParks are deploying advanced camera systems to combat poaching, monitor vehicles, and identify poachers. ‘Running dogs, supported by tech tools, are being used to apprehend poachers,’ explained News24.
