SANParks extends free access to national parks for 2024

South African National Parks (SANParks) has announced an extension of free access to selected national parks as part of the 19th annual SA National Parks Week.
The week will officially begin with a celebratory event at Marakele National Park on September 8. Free entry will be available from September 9 to 13, with additional access granted on September 14 and 15 at certain parks.
During this period, visitors will have free access to most of the 21 national parks managed by SANParks. However, it’s important to note that this offer does not extend to accommodation or other tourist activities within the parks.
To find out when each park will be observing SA National Parks Week, and to check which parks will be extending their free access, visitors are encouraged to visit the SANParks website.
