SAA to Launch Direct Cape Town–Mauritius Route in December 2025
South African Airways (SAA) will launch its first direct flights between Cape Town and Mauritius on 9 December 2025. The new service will operate three times a week—Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays—enhancing regional connectivity and providing Western Cape travellers with a direct link to the Indian Ocean island. The route forms part of SAA’s strategic growth plan, aimed at expanding leisure travel options and strengthening tourism ties between South Africa and Mauritius.
Each flight will depart Cape Town at 09:25, arriving in Mauritius at 16:30, with the return leg departing at 17:20 and landing back in Cape Town at 21:30. From mid-January to mid-March 2026, frequency will reduce to twice weekly to align with seasonal demand. The flight schedule was developed in consultation with South African tour operators to maximise convenience for travellers.
