RwandAir Opens Office in Liberia to Strengthen Air Connectivity and Tourism
RwandAir has marked its entry into the Liberian market with the soft launch of an offline office in Monrovia on 16 August. Spearheaded by Easy Continental Travel Agency, the move is expected to improve travel connectivity between Liberia and Rwanda, while boosting tourism, business, and educational exchange. The development will particularly benefit the estimated 4,000 Liberian students studying in Rwanda, according to Easy Continental CEO Madam Gbomai L. Bestman.
The Liberia Civil Aviation Authority welcomed the initiative as a timely step toward revitalising the country’s underutilised aviation sector, which recorded just over 100,000 passenger movements last year. Officials from Liberia’s Ministry of Information, Cultural Affairs and Tourism, and the Diaspora Office praised the move for its potential to create new economic opportunities, spur competitive pricing among airlines, and promote Liberia as a viable tourism destination.
