Rwanda Showcases Tourism and Investment Potential at Pakistan Travel Mart

Rwanda's High Commission to Pakistan set up a dedicated pavilion at Pakistan Travel Mart 2026 (3-5 April), held at the Karachi Expo Centre. High Commissioner Harerimana Fatou attended the opening ceremony, which was inaugurated by Sindh Governor Nehal Hashmi. The Rwanda pavilion is highlighting the country's tourism and trade opportunities, with senior Pakistani officials - including the National Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Tourism and the Managing Director of the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation - visiting the stand and expressing interest in Rwanda's tourism landscape and economic potential. The event has drawn around 15 international and Pakistani companies across tourism and related sectors.

Pakistan Travel Mart, the country's largest international travel and tourism exhibition, features a Sustainable Destinations Forum focused on responsible tourism and environmental conservation. A B2B Roadshow will follow in Islamabad on 7 and 8 April at the Mövenpick Hotel, extending networking opportunities beyond Karachi. Rwanda's participation underscores the country's growing efforts to position itself as a leading African destination for eco-tourism - drawing visitors to its national parks, including gorilla trekking - as well as a hub for business and investment on the continent.
