Royal Air Maroc Launches Direct Chad Route Ahead of AFCON 2025

Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has inaugurated a new direct route connecting Casablanca to N’Djamena, the capital of Chad. The service, which began on 17 September 2025, operates twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays, marking RAM’s 29th direct route within Africa. The airline cited the new service as part of its broader growth strategy to strengthen intra-African connectivity and enhance Casablanca’s role as a regional transit hub.

The launch comes in the lead-up to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which Morocco will host. RAM, the official global partner of the tournament, has also announced a major capacity boost of over 660 additional flights to support fan travel during the event. The Casablanca–N’Djamena route is designed to improve access for Chadian passengers travelling within Africa or connecting to Europe and the Americas via Morocco.
