Royal Air Maroc adds 12 Spain routes ahead of 2030 World Cup

Royal Air Maroc has unveiled 12 new regular routes linking Morocco and Spain, announced at a Madrid press conference on 13 February. The expansion takes the carrier’s Spanish footprint to nine airports and more than 80 weekly frequencies, reinforcing tourism and business travel and serving Spain’s large Moroccan diaspora ahead of the 2030 FIFA World Cup.

New links include Tetouan to Barcelona, Málaga and Madrid; Tangier to the same three cities; Nador to Barcelona; and Casablanca to Bilbao and Alicante. The move aligns with RAM’s plan to scale from 7.5 million to over 31 million passengers by 2037, supported by fleet growth towards 200 aircraft and more than 100 additional international destinations, with capacity to be increased according to demand.
