Robin Pope Safaris expands into Lower Zambezi with Kujana Camp!
Robin Pope Safaris (RPS) has officially opened Kujana Camp in Zambia’s Lower Zambezi National Park, marking a significant new chapter as we celebrates 40 years of operating in Zambia.
The new camp takes its name from the Tonga word Kujana, meaning “to find” or “to discover” – a fitting reference to its setting in one of Zambia’s most scenic and wildlife-rich wilderness areas.
Located overlooking the Discovery Channel in the Lower Zambezi National Park, Kujana has been designed as a small and intimate safari camp, with just four safari tents. The camp’s position provides guests with views across the water and direct access to the surrounding wilderness, with the Lower Zambezi known for its combination of wildlife, river scenery and diverse safari activities.
Kujana will operate seasonally from May to 15 November, adding a new Lower Zambezi option to RPS’s existing Zambia safari circuit and creating opportunities for travellers to combine the area with the properties in South Luangwa and beyond.
RPS first began operating in Zambia in 1986 with its original camp, Tena Tena in South Luangwa. Over the last 40 years we have grown our presence in South Luangwa and also expanded into Malawi & Zimbabwe. The opening of Kujana therefore marks an important expansion beyond our long-established South Luangwa operations.
