Reteti House: New Rooms and Updates
RETETI HOUSE: NEW ROOMS
With the addition of two new rooms, we have increased our capacity to host up to 16 guests at the exclusive use Reteti House. Here’s the layout:
• Four standalone rooms
• Open-plan family room: Includes a double bed + two singles
• Family suite: Two rooms connected by a shared verandah and living space (similar to Sarara House)
• Two guide rooms for accompanying guides or pilots (styled in the same fashion as the standalone rooms)

EXCLUSIVE RETETI SANCTUARY EXPERIENCE: SARARA & RETETI GUESTS ONLY
We’ve crafted a truly unique and intimate Reteti Sanctuary Experience – exclusive to Sarara and Reteti House guests only. Guests can now enjoy extended, up-close time with the elephants in an unforgettable, private setting.
After watching the elephant feed at the sanctuary, guests will walk out into the bush with their guide and a Reteti keeper and follow the elephants to a secluded area. There, a special bush meal will be set up so your guests can enjoy a meal surrounded by the herd. The experience allows guests to have more time with the elephants – to see how they interact with each other, and how their keepers prepare them to be released back into Namunyak’s wilderness. I’ve personally tried it and it’s beyond special – a must-have experience for any itinerary!
Please note that guests are still prohibited from touching the elephants.

CONNECTING NAMUNYAK – SCENIC WILDERNESS SHARED CHARTER
We’re thrilled to announce that Namunyak Community Conservancy's airstrip is now part of Scenic Wilderness’ shared charter routing! This makes getting to Sarara more effortless than ever!
Rates:
US$ 600 per person one way (Nairobi ↔ Namunyak)
US$ 800 per person one way (Namunyak ↔ Mara)
ELECTRIC SAFARI VEHICLES
Sarara will have electric vehicles up and running by February this year, with engine installations set to be completed by the end of January! This is just another step in Sarara’s journey towards becoming a self-sustaining operation.
