Renegade Air Launches Nairobi–Kisumu Route to Strengthen Domestic Tourism
Renegade Air has introduced a new twice-daily service between Wilson Airport in Nairobi and Kisumu, utilising a 48-seat ATR 42-500 aircraft. The flights offer early morning and late afternoon departures, supporting both leisure and business travel. The move is expected to enhance regional connectivity and boost domestic tourism in western Kenya, particularly around Lake Victoria and Kisumu’s cultural landmarks.
The Kenya Association of Travel Agents (KATA) welcomed the launch, highlighting its potential to expand trade and tourism while improving accessibility within the country. The ATR 42-500, known for its fuel efficiency and suitability for short runways, supports reliable operations on regional routes. With Wilson Airport serving as a key domestic hub, travel professionals are encouraged to promote Kisumu’s natural and cultural attractions through tailored itineraries enabled by this new connection.
