Regenerative Travel welcomes four new members to its Regenerative Hotels community in Egypt, Kenya, Indonesia and Tanzania

Regenerative Travel, a benefit corporation and a collection of independent hotels and lodges committed to regenerative hospitality, announce four new additions to the Regenerative Hotels community. The new hotel members – Basata Ecolodge in South Sinai, Egypt; Emboo River in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya; Ngalung Kalla in Sumba, Indonesia; and Nimali Tarangire in a private concession, Tanzania– join an exceptional list of hotels handpicked for their dedication to the highest levels of social and environmental impact.

Initiatives from the new members range from partnering with the Kenyan Government to ensure that the Maasai Mara achieves its goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2030 to teaching permaculture courses on Sumba island in Indonesia to help people learn how to work the land using minimal resources and sustainable practices. Joining the Regenerative Hotels community connects members with a values-aligned community of hoteliers and hospitality professionals, providing a platform to share best practices and drive aspirations towards regenerative models. The criteria for members adhere to Regenerative Travel’s ethos of inclusivity over exclusivity and creating a standard that is measurable and rigorous but also considers value and intent.
