R750 Million Conference Centre and Hotel Announced for Waterfall City

A R750 million development comprising a conference centre and hotel has been announced for Waterfall City in Gauteng, marking a significant investment in South Africa's business tourism and hospitality sector. The project is a collaboration between Attacq Limited and Rabie Property Group, with the facility set to be managed by the team behind Century City Conference Centre and Hotels in Cape Town. The development will be the first major asset under a newly established hospitality portfolio, African Rain Collection, which will oversee conference and hospitality operations across both Cape Town and Johannesburg.

The Waterfall City Conference Centre and Hotel will have capacity for up to 1,350 delegates in a single venue and 2,000 delegates across 16 flexible spaces, with additional open-air event areas. The adjoining 180-room hotel will include an all-day dining restaurant, spa, gym, swimming pool, and private dining facilities. The development is expected to be fully operational by January 2028, with bookings for conferences and events now open via wcconferencecentre.co.za.
