Qatar Airways expands routes to South Africa with 35 weekly flights
Qatar Airways is increasing its services to South Africa to up to 35 weekly flights for the peak summer season, aiming to boost the region’s tourism potential. The expanded schedule includes 12 weekly flights to Cape Town from mid-December to mid-January, 18 flights a week to Johannesburg, and five weekly flights to Durban via Mozambique.
As Qatar Airways approaches its 20th anniversary in South Africa, this expansion reflects its commitment to the region. The airline’s recent acquisition of a 25% stake in South African airline Airlink underscores its confidence in Africa’s tourism growth potential.
