Qatar Airways and Air Algérie launch codeshare
Qatar Airways and Air Algérie have launched a codeshare to improve connectivity between Algeria and key markets in Asia and the Middle East via Doha’s Hamad International Airport. Bookings opened on 4 November 2025 for travel from 15 November. The deal gives Qatar Airways customers access to Algiers and six domestic destinations – Annaba, Constantine, Oran, Tamanrasset, Timimoun and Tindouf – with Privilege Club members able to earn Avios on codeshare flights operated by Air Algérie.
For Air Algérie passengers, the partnership adds more one‑stop options to Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and Muscat via Doha, with further destinations to follow. The move supports Qatar Airways’ Africa growth strategy – the airline now has 30 interline and six codeshare agreements across the continent and operates 213 weekly flights to 30 cities in 21 countries – and strengthens Algiers’ role as a hub by widening inbound and outbound travel choices for leisure and business markets.
