Qantas launches Perth – Johannesburg flights

Qantas has begun direct services linking Perth with Johannesburg and Auckland, launched on 8 December 2025. The three‑times‑weekly routes expand the carrier’s western international hub, add more than 150,000 seats a year and strengthen links across three continents, supporting inbound tourism to Western Australia.

Perth – Johannesburg (QF65) runs on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday using A330s and is scheduled at about 11h15, with onward links via partner Airlink including to Cape Town. Perth – Auckland (QF111) operates on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday with the same aircraft and a flight time of about 6h45, offering connections to New York via Auckland. The services were enabled by federal funding for additional border and biosecurity capacity at Perth Airport; schedules remain subject to change.
