Proflight Zambia to co‑host AASA 2025 in Lusaka
Proflight Zambia will co‑host the 55th Annual General Assembly of the Airlines Association of Southern Africa in Lusaka from 16 – 19 October 2025 at Ciela Resort. More than 250 delegates – including airline executives, regulators, policymakers and tourism stakeholders – are expected. Under the theme “Believe, Stop, Improve”, discussions will focus on competitiveness, sustainability, digitalisation, route development, inclusivity and regulatory harmonisation, highlighting Zambia’s growing role in regional connectivity and tourism.
The agenda will also address structural cost pressures such as airport and air traffic control charges, alongside strategies to stimulate demand on primary and secondary routes. Proflight operates an extensive domestic network and regional services to Johannesburg and Cape Town, with Windhoek planned, and is moving to become cashless by November 2025 – steps aimed at improving traveller experience and strengthening access to Zambia’s established and emerging tourism destinations.
