Proflight Zambia Launches First Scheduled Jet Service to Kasama
Proflight Zambia is introducing its 50-seat Bombardier CRJ-200 jet on the Lusaka–Kasama route, marking the first scheduled jet service to operate at Kasama Airport in Northern Zambia. The new service will begin with Tuesday flights from the end of September 2025, and expand to include Thursday flights from November, significantly enhancing capacity and reducing travel time to 1.5 hours.
The move underscores Proflight’s commitment to improving domestic connectivity, especially to key tourism regions. Kasama serves as a gateway to attractions such as Kalambo Falls, Chishimba Falls, and Lake Tanganyika. The airline is also increasing frequencies on its Mansa route, boosting accessibility to Luapula Province and supporting wider tourism and economic development in Zambia’s northern regions.
