Proflight Zambia Expands Network to Meet Rising Regional Travel Demand

Proflight Zambia has launched a major schedule overhaul across its domestic and regional network, reinforcing its position as a key player in Southern African aviation. The expansion comes as Zambia targets three million international visitors by 2025, following a 69% surge in arrivals during 2024. Highlights include a doubling of daily Lusaka–Livingstone flights and the introduction of a direct Livingstone–Cape Town service, aimed at strengthening access to key tourism hubs and reducing reliance on traditional transit routes.

The airline has also resumed Lusaka–Kasama flights and introduced seasonal connections to Kafue National Park, supporting emerging tourism regions with greater year-round and safari-specific access. These route enhancements project an additional 39,400 annual passengers for the carrier, aided by a flexible fleet of Bombardier CRJ-200s and Jetstream turboprops. Proflight's interline agreements with major international carriers, including Emirates, Ethiopian Airlines, and Kenya Airways, broaden connectivity through Lusaka, enhancing links for both leisure and business travellers and creating new opportunities for regional tour operators and itinerary planners.
