Proflight Zambia Boosts Solwezi and Kasama Frequencies

Proflight Zambia has expanded services on two key domestic routes this October, increasing Solwezi flights to improve same-day connections to Johannesburg and doubling the Kasama schedule to six flights a week. The expanded Solwezi timetable includes a new Friday service departing at 12:50, arriving in Lusaka at 14:00 in time for the 15:40 onward flight to Johannesburg, as well as a Tuesday/Wednesday rotation that allows passengers to depart Solwezi at 06:25 and connect to the 08:15 Johannesburg service with just a 55-minute transit in Lusaka.

On the Kasama route, flights now operate six days a week using a 29-seat turboprop, with services on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays departing Lusaka at 10:25, and a Friday afternoon departure at 14:10. The expansion is part of a broader domestic growth push that has also seen Mansa achieve its first-ever daily scheduled service since 13 September, supported by ongoing runway and terminal upgrades at Mansa Airport. Passengers are advised to check the latest schedules at flyzambia.com.
