President Samia in Dubai for UN Tourism talks and GAIS launch
Tanzania’s President Samia Suluhu Hassan began a working visit to Dubai on 3 February 2026, holding high‑level meetings aimed at strengthening economic diplomacy, attracting foreign direct investment and advancing tourism development. Her first‑day programme includes meetings with Gaston Browne, Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, and Shaikha Al Nuwais, Secretary‑General of UN Tourism.
Later today, President Samia is expected to attend the launch of the Global Africa Investment Summit – staged alongside the World Governments Summit – a platform designed to connect bankable African projects with international investors. The engagements form part of Tanzania’s strategy to deepen international cooperation and position the country as a competitive destination for tourism and wider investment.
