Porter cleared to sell Morocco flights via Air Transat codeshare

Porter Airlines has received a scheduled international licence from the Canadian Transportation Agency to market Morocco services on a codeshare basis with Air Transat – extending its reach without operating its own aircraft. The move follows the carriers’ joint venture launched in November 2023 and comes alongside similar approvals for Türkiye and Brazil, reflecting growing demand for Canada–Morocco connectivity.

The approval gives Porter access to Air Transat’s Montreal–Marrakech route, introduced in 2024, and its forthcoming Montreal–Agadir service, due to start on 12 June with weekly Airbus A321LR flights – the first direct link from North America to Agadir. Canadian interest in Morocco has been rising, with more than 174,000 Canadian visitors recorded through August 2025, up 29% year on year, according to Morocco’s National Tourism Office, placing Canada among priority source markets.
