RETURN Africa’s walking safaris has opened for the 2025 season. With two walking safaris operating from April to October, RETURN Africa is set for another busy year.

Hutwini Walking Camp was extensively refurbished for the previous season, with a mess tent and four luxurious sleeping tents. It remains a popular choice for exclusive walking experiences. Nkula Walking Camp, which also sleeps a maximum of eight guests in four tents, is the choice for guests who seek an off-the-beaten-path adventure in simple, but wild comfort.

CEO and founder of RETURN Africa, PJ Massyn says, A walking safari in the northern Kruger National Park is a journey of discovery as you wade through shallow rivers, seek shade under ancient baobab trees and explore the magic of Pafuri. This part of the world remains uncluttered with its low human and lodge densities. There is no noise and light disturbance. This is what makes Pafuri the perfect choice for anyone wanting to reconnect with nature.”

Hutwini and Nkula Walking Camps are solar-powered and WiFi-free. Each walk is led by two qualified field guides with a maximum of eight guests on a walk at any given time.

Massyn added, "I am proud that our guests can fully immerse themselves while experiencing our walking safaris. We have a team of excellent walking guides who are passionate and dedicated, and who have a profound respect for the ancestral home of the Makuleke people.”
