Orpen Gate Access Disrupted After Bridge Washout on R531
Orpen Gate at Kruger National Park is currently inaccessible following the washout of a bridge along the R531 near Wits Rural Facility. The incident occurred on the evening of the 19th April, cutting off road access to and from the gate for visitors travelling to or from the park.
SANParks has advised guests to use alternative entry and exit points, with Paul Kruger Gate and Phalaborwa Gate recommended until further notice. Visitors with existing bookings requiring access via Orpen Gate are urged to plan alternative routes accordingly.
