Oman Air to launch Muscat – Kigali direct flights

Oman Air has announced a new direct service between Muscat and Kigali, with operations planned to begin in June 2026 subject to regulatory approvals. The route was confirmed at a signing ceremony in Muscat attended by Oman’s transport minister and senior Rwandan officials and is intended to deepen air links between Oman and Africa while offering onward connectivity across Oman Air’s network in Asia, Europe and India.

The service targets growing demand for travel to Rwanda – a rising hub for tourism and MICE – and is expected to support trade and investment between the two countries. Oman Air and Oman Airports said the link strengthens Muscat’s role as a regional hub; schedules and frequencies will be announced closer to launch as the airline continues broader network expansion.
