Okavango Expeditions and Tented Camps - Meet Isaac our guide of the month!

Meet our guide of the month Isaac Tapa, who has been a guide for the past 15years and has been with Okavango Expeditions and Tented Camps for 4 years. He considers guiding as a passion and not a job and for the years he has been in the bush, no two days are ever the same.  He loves taking pictures and focuses on everything anything, big and small ranging from birds to mammals, plants, insects and so much more.

During his days off he enjoys cycling and gardening where he has created a spot for birds to visit and often just sits quietly observing and photographing them.

In 2015 he was selected to participate in a cultural exchange with Disney World, and the whole idea was to share his knowledge, culture and experiences and learn about other cultures. He also participated as a Savanna guide, and the objective was to interpret the behaviour of animals in a controlled environment which was totally different to what he is used to...which is wild animals in their natural habitat.

Issac comes with a wealth of knowledge and is one of the most enthusiastic, passionate guides around and his ultimate goal is to make a safari an educational, interactive, fun and exciting experience for our guests.
