Newmark Expands Safari Portfolio with New Lodges in South Africa and Namibia

Newmark Hotels & Reserves has announced the addition of two new safari properties to its growing African portfolio—Toro River Lodge in South Africa and Thitaka Lodge in Namibia—both set to open in the first quarter of 2026. Toro River Lodge, located in the Greater Makalali Private Game Reserve in Limpopo, is undergoing a complete refurbishment and will reopen with five exclusive keys, offering luxury safari experiences that include curated game drives, bush walks, and a strong conservation focus.
Namibia’s Thitaka Lodge, a new development situated in Bwabwata National Park along the Kwando River, marks Newmark’s debut in the country. Designed as a luxury tented camp, the lodge will offer 15 units, including family and private pool villas, set near a key elephant corridor in the Zambezi Region. The lodge will provide full-board hospitality, with game drives and boat outings showcasing the area’s rich biodiversity. Both openings reflect Newmark’s continued strategy of expanding high-end, experience-led safari offerings across the continent.
