Newly Opened Victoria Falls Safari Spa Popular with Families and Couples
The newly opened Victoria Falls Safari Spa has been popular with both families and couples visiting Zimbabwe’s leading travel destination with full body massages and facials being the most sought-after treatments.
Victoria Falls Safari Spa manager Avalon van Leent said top treatments had been the Body Renewal, which includes a full body massage and a mini facial, the 60-minute Muscle Ease and Stress Release full body massages and the age-defying African Goddess facial.
“The spa is being received very well … we’ve had a lot of families, and couples too, booking together and coming in and spending the day lying by the pool, having treatments, and having something to eat from the café,” Mrs van Leent said.
Families with young children had taken advantage of the mini treatments available to those aged 6 to 12, which include massages, nail polish and a facial, while others had spent quality time there with their soon-to-leave home teenage children, she said.
Victoria Falls’ largest and first purpose-built spa opened in November, setting a new benchmark in health and wellness in the region, and offering tourists an opportunity to relax after sightseeing.
Located in indigenous woodland on the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge estate, the spa features manicure and pedicure stations, a hair and make-up studio, relaxation rooms, a splash pool and café as well as three stand-alone treatment rooms.
Operated by a team of five therapists, it offers a range of luxurious treatments including massages, facials, manicures and pedicures as well as hair and event make-up services, and uses all natural, plant-based Africology and Cashmere & Co. products.
The African tented safari camp-style spa, in keeping with the rest of Africa Albida Tourism’s portfolio, uses bold, colourful, Ndebele design elements, and is located in a natural environment and furnished to portray the rich textures of Africa.
