Ethiopian Airlines has inaugurated a new passenger terminal at Wako Gutu Airport in Bale Robe, further expanding its domestic aviation infrastructure. The opening ceremony was attended by Oromia Regional State President Shimelis Abdisa and Ethiopian Airlines executives.

The new terminal will serve the airline's 14 weekly flights to Bale Robe, a region known for its tourist attractions including the Sof Omar cave system and Bale Mountains National Park.

This development is part of Ethiopian Airlines' broader domestic expansion, which includes recently opened terminals at Gode Ugaas Miraad and Jinka Airports, renovations at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport's Domestic Terminal, and resumed services to Dembi Dollo and Axum Airports.

Ethiopian Airlines currently serves over 22 domestic destinations. The airline has managed airport construction and renovation projects across Ethiopia since 2017, when it incorporated the Ethiopian Airports Enterprise as a Strategic Business Unit.
