A new multi-level elevated deck has launched along the Zambezi River, featuring seating for up to 60 guests and offering unparalleled views of one of Africa's most iconic waterways. The innovative structure located next door to the Palm River Hotel combines authentic African dining with environmental responsibility through its unique temporary construction design.
Eco-Innovation Meets Authentic Dining
The multi-level platform is constructed entirely from temporary materials, making it completely relocatable without environmental impact. This movable structure allows guests to enjoy pristine riverside experiences while preserving the natural surroundings. The deck is strategically positioned along an active wildlife corridor, providing intimate connections to the Zambezi River ecosystem.
Duo of Dining Experiences
The new venue hosts two signature offerings: Riverside Dining Experience features traditional Zimbabwean cuisine including crocodile and kudu steaks, prepared over open coal fires. The 3-course dinner includes fresh salads, sides, and premium beverages, served under starlight with entertainment by local musicians playing traditional mbira and hand-held drums. The experience includes welcome drinks and return transfers to Ilala Lodge Hotel. Riverside High Tea offers elegant afternoon high tea with sparkling welcome drinks, served under Jackalberry trees overlooking the tranquil Zambezi waters.

Located next to Palm River Hotel, near the Ra-Ikane River Cruise boarding jetty, the deck features an expansive lawn area suitable for larger gatherings and private functions. The venue provides a fully immersive African experience combining gourmet cuisine, cultural authenticity, and breathtaking natural surroundings.
