New Manchester - Geneva route with Ethiopian Airlines
Manchester – 23rd August 2022.
Ethiopian Airlines has increased its current 3 x weekly operation out of Manchester effective 30th October to 4 times a week. Flights will operate on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
From this date all flights from Manchester will operate via Geneva allowing the airline to carry passengers on this sector. Passengers flying across Ethiopians Africa network will remain on-board the aircraft before continuing onwards to Addis Ababa Bole International Airport where the flight connects to over 62 destinations across Africa.
The flights operating via Geneva will offer passengers from Manchester and the North a convenient service to Switzerland. Ethiopian will be the only full-service carrier on the route with flights operated by a Boeing 787 Dreamliner featuring the award-winning economy and business class cabins and service.
Commenting on the new service, Country Manager UK, Mr Michael Yohannes said; “We are excited to announce this new route development. Whilst this new service will provide business and leisure travellers, including the traditional Winter Ski market, based in the region a convenient schedule it also underlines our commitment to provide further connectivity options into the African continent.

Departs Manchester 18:50 Arrives Geneva 21:40
Departs Geneva 22.40 Arrives Addis Ababa 07.30
Return:
Departs Addis Ababa 01.15 Arrives Geneva 06.15

Lead in fares between Manchester to Geneva start at GBP222 return all-inclusive in economy class and GBP522 return in business class.
- Only full-service carrier on the route with complimentary snacks/drinks and the only carrier with 23Kg free baggage allowance for all passengers included for economy and 23kgs x 2 for business class.
- All fare basis with the letters SKI in them will include 1 set of Skis and Ski Boots free of charge in addition to the 23kgs.
