New 'Beach2Bush' Route Launched in KwaZulu-Natal

Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife has launched a new tourism route in KwaZulu-Natal, combining inland conservation areas with coastal ecosystems. The ‘Beach2Bush’ adventure links Hluhluwe–iMfolozi Park – South Africa’s oldest game reserve – with the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site near St Lucia. The route is designed to offer travellers a blend of safari experiences, cultural landmarks, and marine exploration in one journey.
The route includes stops such as the historic Game Capture Museum and Emagangeni View Point, and offers both fully guided and self-drive options. Accommodation ranges from exclusive bush lodges within the reserve to beachfront stays by the coast. With highlights including rhino conservation areas, estuary boat cruises, and guided picnics near Zulu heritage sites, the experience aims to broaden visitor engagement with KwaZulu-Natal’s diverse natural and cultural heritage.
