Mpumalanga, eSwatini, and Mozambique are reviving the Triland tourism route, a collaborative effort to position the region as a premier destination for tourism, trade, and investment.

The initiative, initially launched in 2009, faced delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Relaunching in 2024, it aims to boost regional cooperation through exchange programs and showcasing each country's unique tourism offerings.

Targeting affluent travellers, the Triland route combines Mpumalanga's safari experiences with cultural attractions in eSwatini and Mozambique's stunning coastline. A familiarisation tour was held in March, with representatives experiencing the diverse offerings across all three countries. This relaunch marks an effort to recapture lost momentum and establish the Triland route as a world-class tourism destination.
