The Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA) has announced the launch of a new flight route connecting Bengaluru to Mauritius, set to commence on 19 November 2024. IndiGo, a leading Indian airline, will operate four weekly direct flights, significantly boosting travel options between the two destinations.

Arvind Bundhun, Director of MTPA, expressed excitement about the development, highlighting its potential to attract more Indian tourists, particularly for weddings, honeymoons, business travel, and leisure. The new route is expected to strengthen ties with the southern Indian market and expand tourism and trade opportunities.

Mauritius, known for its stunning beaches and diverse attractions, offers a visa-on-arrival facility at no cost to Indian travellers. The MTPA is actively promoting the island as a versatile destination that caters to various interests beyond its famous beaches.
