Malawi's Sunbird Hotels & Resorts Launches 3.7 Million GBP Conference Facility
Sunbird Hotels and Resorts has begun construction on a K8 billion (3.7 million GBP) million state-of-the-art Conference Centre in Salima. Set to open in December 2024, the facility neighbours Sunbird's luxury lakeside resorts Sunbird Waterfront and Sunbird Livingstonia.
The centre aims to elevate the conference and events experience, featuring a 500-seat main arena with modern amenities. Total capacity reaches 840 with six breakaway rooms for 20-100 people each. A 200-seat restaurant promises enhanced dining.
