Livingstone Unveils Public Wi-Fi at Victoria Falls

Livingstone, Zambia, welcomes a new amenity as public Wi-Fi is introduced on the Zambian side of Victoria Falls. It was launched on 23 April 2024 by the Minister of Tourism Rodney Sikumba and the Mayor of Livingstone, Constance Nalishebo Muleabai. The service aims to enhance the tourist experience.

Powered by Liquid Intelligent Technologies, a pan-African tech group, this initiative aligns with Zambia's tourism digitisation goals for 2024. Minister Sikumba emphasised the government's commitment to modernising the tourism sector, fostering better management and promotion of key sites.

The launch signifies a step forward in leveraging technology to elevate tourism experiences and attract more visitors to Livingstone's renowned landmarks. With Wi-Fi connectivity now available, tourists can enjoy seamless access to information and share their experiences online, further promoting the region's attractions.
