The Limpopo Tourism Agency (LTA) is inviting travellers to escape the chills with their "Warm Wild Winter" campaign. Launched at Kruger National Park's Letaba Rest Camp and Phalaborwa Gate, the initiative aims to position Limpopo as a prime winter getaway.

Supported by the Department of Economic Development and Tourism (LEDET) and Ba-Phalaborwa Municipality, the event saw the announcement of winter promotions from participating tourism businesses. Councillor Tomson Nkuna highlighted the ongoing construction of an activity hub at Phalaborwa Gate, expected to further attract visitors.

LTA Board Chairperson, Andrew Dipela, emphasised the campaign's goal of showcasing Limpopo as a leading winter tourist destination. He encouraged visitors to explore the park via Limpopo's access points, given Kruger National Park is predominantly located within the province. The initiative also seeks to strengthen ties between tourism stakeholders and promote Phalaborwa as the gateway to the Greater Limpopo Transfrontier Park.

LEDET MEC Rodgers Monama expressed optimism about the activity hub's impact on tourist numbers and highlighted the potential of Phalaborwa Airport to further boost tourism in the region.
