LATAM to launch São Paulo route Cape Town

LATAM Airlines announced on 17 November 2025 that it will launch new long‑haul services from São Paulo/Guarulhos to Amsterdam, Brussels and Cape Town, with operations expected to begin progressively in 2026 and schedules to be confirmed. The move strengthens Brazil’s links with Europe and Africa, with LATAM set to become the only South American airline offering direct flights to Cape Town.

The carrier will also add four new Brazilian destinations – taking its domestic coverage to 63 airports – to feed international services via São Paulo/Guarulhos. The expansion supports Brazil’s role as a regional hub and is expected to improve connectivity for leisure and corporate travellers, shortening journey times between Brazil, northern Europe and South Africa while opening additional links between secondary Brazilian cities and long‑haul markets.
