Latin American aviation giant LATAM Airlines Brasil is boosting its flight services between São Paulo and Johannesburg from late October 2024. The airline currently operates three weekly return flights on the route from São Paulo's Guarulhos International Airport to O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg.

Effective 28th October, LATAM will add two more weekly return services, taking the total to five flights per week in each direction. The new flights will operate on Wednesdays from São Paulo and Mondays/Thursdays from Johannesburg.

The expanded schedule offers improved connectivity between the key Latin American and African hubs. It comes as LATAM looks to capitalise on growing travel demand between Brazil and South Africa across both leisure and business segments.

With the additional frequencies, LATAM is the airline offering the most non-stop flight options on the São Paulo-Johannesburg route, further strengthening its position in the market.
