Kurger Park’s Skukuza Safari Lodge remains open after restaurant roof fire
Skukuza Safari Lodge in Kruger National Park remains operational following a fire on 29 October that damaged part of the restaurant dining hall roof. Diners were safely evacuated with no injuries reported, and an investigation into the cause is under way.
A temporary dining hall has been set up using back‑up systems to minimise disruption, while clean‑up and repairs proceed. SANParks and management partner AHA thanked the Skukuza Airport and SANParks emergency response teams, along with the Bushbuckridge Fire Brigade, for their swift action – limiting impact on guests and daily operations.
