Kenya's WRC Safari Rally fuels intra-African Tourism push

The Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) is gearing up for the upcoming WRC Safari Rally by launching a targeted marketing campaign. They aim to leverage the motorsport event to promote Kenya and the wider East African region as a prime tourist destination, with a particular focus on attracting visitors from neighbouring countries.
John Chirchir, Acting Chief Executive Officer of the KTB, sees the WRC Safari Rally as a golden opportunity. "This event allows us to showcase the unique tourism experiences that Kenya and East Africa offer, not just to motorsport enthusiasts, but also to leisure travellers."
The KTB, beyond promoting Kenya, envisions this initiative as a catalyst for increased intra-African travel by marketing the entire East African region as a unified tourism circuit. The Safari Rally itself takes place from 28th to 31st March, and throughout the event, the KTB will be actively promoting Kenya's unique experiences to both motorsport enthusiasts and leisure travellers.
