Hampton by Hilton Opens First Morocco Property in Ben Guerir

Hilton has opened its first Hampton by Hilton in Morocco, a 94-room property in Ben Guerir, situated directly opposite Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P). The hotel caters to both business travellers and short-stay visitors, offering amenities including a fitness centre and outdoor pool. Ben Guerir's proximity to Marrakech - just 40 kilometres from the Red City - positions the property as a quieter alternative for tourists exploring the region.

The opening adds to Morocco's rapidly expanding hospitality infrastructure as the country prepares to co-host the FIFA World Cup in 2030. Morocco welcomed nearly 20 million tourists last year, a 14% increase on 2024 figures, with over 1.3 million visitors recorded in January 2026 alone - up 3% year-on-year. To meet growing demand, the country has embarked on a $4 billion investment programme targeting a 20% increase in hotel capacity, with 700 projects planned across major cities and 25,000 new rooms in the pipeline. Morocco has set an ambitious target of 26 million tourist arrivals by 2030.
