Guardians of the Peak to Premiere in Dar es Salaam
A new environmental documentary, Guardians of the Peak, will premiere in Dar es Salaam on 5 May, highlighting conservation efforts and sustainable tourism around Mount Kilimanjaro. Directed by award-winning filmmaker Ram Ally and supported by the Tanzania Film Board, the production focuses on elevating Tanzania’s global tourism appeal while raising awareness about environmental preservation, particularly among Chinese audiences.
The film is the product of a collaboration between Ram Films, Zara Tanzania Adventures, the Tanzania-China Friendship Promotion Association, and the Tanzania Film Board. With backing from both public and private sectors, the project underlines Tanzania’s commitment to responsible tourism development. Officials say the film aligns with ongoing national efforts, including The Royal Tour, to position Tanzania as a leading eco-tourism destination, while reinforcing cross-border partnerships and environmental education.
