Green Motion launches Mozambique franchise near Maputo International Airport
Green Motion International has launched a new franchise in Mozambique, expanding its rental car network further across the African continent. The Maputo-based outlet, located near the capital's international airport, has been established under local entrepreneur Samuel Manhique, whose regional market knowledge will underpin the brand's growth in the country. Founded in the UK in 2007, Green Motion now operates in more than 80 countries, using a franchise-led model designed to empower local operators while maintaining global brand standards.
The Mozambique launch forms part of Green Motion's broader strategic focus on Africa, where the brand has been steadily growing through new franchise partnerships. Richard Lowden, founder and CEO of Green Motion International, noted that Africa represents a key growth region for the brand, and that partnering with experienced local entrepreneurs ensures both strong service delivery and regional market understanding.
