The delegations from Equatorial Guinea and Gabon met on Sunday, November 9, at the Grand Hotel Djibloho to review the technical report from the telecommunications companies of both countries and to advance agreements related to the CEMAC "Zero Roaming" Project, an initiative that enables citizens of both nations to communicate across border areas without incurring roaming charges.

On Monday, November 10, the delegations traveled to the border city of Ebibeyin for the official launch of the fiber optic interconnection between Equatorial Guinea and Gabon, a milestone that strengthens digital infrastructure and enhances regional connectivity.

Afterwards, the representatives returned to the Grand Hotel Djibloho to finalize the agreements and announce the definitive resolution of cross-border signal interference, thereby concluding the technical work aimed at eliminating the disruptions that had affected communities in the border region.

The bilateral meeting was attended by Ministers Honorato Evita Oma from Equatorial Guinea and Mark Alexander Doumba from Gabon, along with other officials, who took part in the technical discussions, the launch of the fiber optic interconnection, and the formalization of the project’s final agreements.

With its modern facilities, versatile workspaces, and exceptional hospitality, the Grand Hotel Djibloho has become a benchmark for event management and is recognized as a premier destination for congresses and meetings in Central Africa.
