Gondwana Care Trust empowers learners with digital tools
On 4 November 2025, Gondwana Care Trust donated seven refurbished computers and four tablets, valued at N$47,000, to The Promiseland Trust Centre in Walvis Bay’s Tutaleni area. The devices were upgraded, connected to Wi‑Fi and preloaded with educational software to support foundational computer skills, literacy and numeracy for younger learners, with tablets assisting older students with research and exam preparation.
The donation builds on a partnership established in 2022 through the Meal for Two programme, under which the centre’s kitchen serves up to 500 children on school days and around 250 during holidays. By improving digital access for vulnerable children, the initiative supports community development in a key Namibian tourism hub – relevant to operators prioritising responsible, inclusive growth.
