Global Aviation finalising aircraft for Réunion – Durban charter series

Global Aviation Operations says it is finalising a charter contract to provide an aircraft for seven-day tourism packages between Réunion and Durban King Shaka, targeted to launch on 27 February 2026. The Durban-led initiative aims to stimulate tourism, improve direct connectivity with the French Indian Ocean department and channel visitor spend into KwaZulu-Natal.

The carrier said its role is limited to aircraft provision and operational delivery – with the series to operate as a charter and remain subject to regulatory clearances, commercial alignment and final approvals, and the aircraft type still to be confirmed. Market development is led by Fly Vetiv’Air with Engage Connection, Durban Tourism, King Shaka International Airport and the Dube TradePort SEZ, with six tours advertised to depart 27 February – 8 March and return 6 – 15 March as part of a phased effort to grow Réunion – South Africa travel.
